The Communication and Language Enhancement for Academics and Researchers (CLEAR) project is a SIP funded project delivered by the Centre for Advancement of Learning and Teaching (CALT). It is designed to support and promote effective communication, teaching skills and intercultural awareness among academic teaching staff.
CLEAR assists academic staff to:
- Improve spoken English clarity
- Interact more effectively with colleagues and students
- Teach with greater skill and confidence
- Develop intercultural communication skills and strategies
- CLEAR Workshop series
Designed and customised to build staff intercultural awareness and communicative competence and enhance teaching skills
- Spoken English & Communication Skills Program (SECS)
An individualised program delivered over ten, intensive two-hour sessions.
- Self directed learning
A collection of links to online resources targeting spoken language clarity, teaching support and intercultural learning.
- Colleagues online
A staff online environment with information, case studies, forums, mentors and Monash model teachers, questionnaires and surveys.
