IPod nano
picture of IPod In 2007 CALT purchased 4 IPod Nano8 Gb with Micro Memo attachment, an high-fidelity digital audio recorder for IPod nano.

The IPods were distributed and used as follows:

CALT:

Faculty of Law: The IPod is to be used in conjunction with Lectopia trials in 2008

Faculty of Medicine:  Details are not yet available

Faculty of Business and Economics: BusEco used the IPod for recording one on one meetings and group discussions. Feedback indicated that the IPod nano was not appropriate for their purpose. They purchased an Olympus voice recorder and found this to be an all round better product which included integration with voice recognition software and automated transcription functionality.
