Computing Education Research Group (CERG)

The Computing Education Research Group of the Faculty of Information Technology is interested in contemporary educational issues in computing and seeks to provide a vision for the pedagogical future of computing. Research projects encompass a wide range of aspects of computing education.

CERG has as its main foci two aspects of research in computing education. These are:

  • ways of improving the teaching and learning of computing topics;
  • ways of using technology to assist with the teaching process

Centre for Educational Multimedia (CEMM)

The Centre for Educational Multimedia provides research and development services and support to the education and training sectors. Centre researchers are particularly interested in evaluation methodologies, evaluating new technologies, and providing support for groups and individuals with an interest in improving the ways in which technologies can be used for knowledge construction and community building.
