Profile

Over the past twenty years I have been researching how adolescents and young adults process information presented in non-literal means. I am particularly interested in how non-English speaking Higher Education students learn new concepts and how they use analogies to generate new concepts that overcome mental blocks. A second area of interest is Indigenous education: how disparate views of the world might be reconciled in Higher Education. Of late I have also been publishing in the area of Higher Education management. Finally, I am also interested in the dynamics of teaching, both on-campus and on-line.
