Profile
My expertise is in the broad area of evaluation and innovation of teaching and learning
at the tertiary level. Work experience at three Australian universities (Monash
University, The University of Western Australia and The University of Adelaide)
includes providing consultation to academic staff across the university on improving
the quality of their teaching with the aim of enhancing the quality of student learning
outcomes. I have been a member of the team that provides: Foundations of University
Teaching programs since 1997 and Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (GCHE)
since 2006.
Learning and Teaching Interests
Current interests include:
- Coordinating sessional staff support provided by CALT, in particular teaching development through structured programs - identification of models at institutional, faculty and school/departmental levels and the design and delivery of appropriate program templates.
- Supporting teaching development of staff new to the University through the Graduate Certificate in Higher Education program and the Foundations program.
- Motivating high quality learning and teaching by showcasing current best/good practices at the University.
