Profile

I joined CALT in December 2006 as a lecturer in Higher Education (HE). Since then, I have been involved in a range of activities including:

  • supporting staff interested in deterring plagiarism among their students
  • co-coordinating HED5003
  • Teaching in Foundation programs for teaching in HE
  • Evaluating educational technologies
Prior to joining Monash University, I had worked at La Trobe University and The University of Melbourne in various roles. From 1999 to 2006, I was involved in a range of staff-development and evaluation activities at the Academic Development Unit, La Trobe University. From 1995 to 1998, I taught Physics and Mathematics at La Trobe University's Foundation Studies Program, and facilitated pre-service and in-service workshops on technology-supported-teaching at their Graduate School of Education.

Learning and Teaching Interests

My current research interests include:

  • evidence-based policy and practice
  • evaluating innovations, teaching and courses in higher education
  • scholarship of teaching and learning in HE
  • assessment in HE
  • approaches to foster academic integrity among tertiary students
