Profile
My background in Medicine and Linguistics provides inspiration for my teaching and cross-disciplinary research interests. In previous appointments at Monash University, I worked in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and at The Victorian College of Pharmacy where I was responsible for the design and delivery of language and academic skills support programs to undergraduate and postgraduate students and implementing strategies for 'at risk' student diagnosis and support. More recently, I have focused on quality assurance in higher education by supporting improvement in key areas of learning and teaching identified through university monitoring and review processes. I am currently seconded to the position of Project Manager in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education). I am also close to completing my doctoral thesis, entitled 'Argumentation in academic (con)texts'.
