Engaging Leadership Framework 2009-2010

Our plan for 2009-2010 is to disseminate, apply and identify further opportunities to embed the framework into professional development, leadership training and day-to-day operations at Monash University.

We are also keen to share and 'workshop' the framework with other interested universities. Our aspiration is to build leadership capacity across the sector by applying the framework to quality improvement issues identified in stakeholder satisfaction or performance data. The issue may come to light in performance, survey or focus group data or as a result of an internal or external review of some aspect of learning and teaching on the campus.

The ELF is designed to be flexible so that it accommodates a diverse range of university missions and priorities. In the Leading Excellence project in which it evolved, the focus was on leadership of quality improvement in units (subjects). However, the framework can also be applied to a range of other macro and micro improvement challenges, and used as a reference point at different stages to guide action.
