Professional development for new and sessional teaching staff orientation

The Centre for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching provides an introduction to teaching at Monash under the Foundations Program. Sessions for 2010 will be published shortly. For 2010 session availability please enquire via the contact information below.

This is a three day intensive program for all academic staff, designed to provide a sound understanding of what is required to teach effectively in Monash University. Issues to be covered include research-led teaching, cross-cultural communication, student evaluation of learning and teaching, aligning objectives to assessment, diversity issues and much more. The program is particularly recommended to staff new to Monash; experienced staff who wish to update their skills and sessional staff.
